In "Who Built The Pyramids" by Mike Legevre, the author express his feelings about his work. Legevre in half of this story state reasons why he hates his job. One of the reasons he hates his job is because he gets no recognition for the hard work he does. He says that he would want everyone to know the hard work people put in for creating buildings and other items. Also another reason he dislike his work because he state his boss wants him to be excited about the work he does. Legevre said however that a person shouldn't be excited about the work they do, but just do the work. One of the bestest thing he dislike about work is his boss. He feels that his boss looks down at him because he doesn't have the right education. These feelings that Legevre had to leads him to talk about ideas about a perfect work environment for himself. Also in the story he told how his boss is some young kid who just got out of college. One thing he change is that he wouldn't want to be watch. He would rather work for long hours without someone watching him then short hours with his boss watching him the whole time. He feel that the work environment is a place that someone should feel comfortable in. He state he wanted to quit if he was single ,but he has a family to support. This leads him to talk about what he wants for his son. He says he wants his son to be an effete snob. The reason for this because he wants his son to be better then him. He wants him to go to college, get a high paying job, and support his future family. What I find interesting about this was that dream Legevre had about his son is the dream and idea of other low working class people. To have your child do better then you. To have your child exceed in education then you. In the end Mike Legevre express his feelings about his job

Good overview - in the future put the main text of your response in the large box so it comes up normal size - the spot where you typed is the title box.
ReplyDeleteI'm interested in this sentence: "What I find interesting about this was that dream Legevre had about his son is the dream and idea of other low working class people." I think you're getting at something here but it's a little unclear. Can you explain? What other people are you referring to?
